"The days and months go by like lightning: we should value the time. We pass from life to death in the time it takes to breathe in and breathe out: it's hard to guarantee even a morning and an evening. Whether walking, standing, sitting, or lying down, do not waste even a moment of time. Become ever braver and bolder." - T'aego

"People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." --George Orwell
This nighttime scene started as a photograph taken in Chicago along the Lake Michigan shoreline looking south toward the River North area of the city. It shows the Hancock Tower with the Palmolive building in the middle the Drake Hotel in front.

This digitally manipulated photo was taken on the State and Lake platform late one evening in Chicago. We were waiting for the Brown Line train to take us back up north. I loved seeing the Chicago Theater marquee just peaking over the roof of the platform - it's reds and oranges contrasting the blues and greens of the platform lights. Enjoy.
