A Bird in the Hand

A Bird in the Hand
A Bird in the Hand

This is my take on the old saying “A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.”  Which, to me, means it is better to see and appreciate what you have rather than think about and worry about what you do not.

Shot with my son’s wooden blue-feathered bird friend in the palm of my hand.   Processed in Adobe Photoshop with liberal use of textures, color toning, exposure adjustments, and Topaz Impression.

Day 164 of my 365 photo a day project.

Emotion. Mood. Feelings. This is what I capture through my photographs. Whether it is landscapes, architectural elements, still life, or macros - it is a very personal journey as my own fears, triumphs, beliefs, and shortcomings are exposed with each photo. In the end, it is all about telling compelling stories.
