Happiness is a smiley face coffee cup full of pens, pencils, markers, brushes, highlighters, and a ruler sitting on an artist’s desk. As my wife and I were reading stories to my son tonight (well, she was reading and my son and I were listening), I noticed this happy little guy on her desk in the corner of our bedroom. I’ve probably seen him a thousand times, but tonight that goofy smile and crooked eyes made me grin. He seems quite pleased to be the coffer of crayons and receptacle of writing instruments. Don’t tell my better half, but I think I’m going to steal him for my desk!
