Today I Am Tired

Today, I am tired. I'm exhausted from lack of sleep and too much coffee. I'm mentally drained from trying to do everything on my "to-do" list all at the same time. I'm emotionally fatigued from just about everything I see on the news. Today I feel my age and that makes me weary. But tomorrow the sun will rise. I'll have a cup of coffee while listening to the birds singing outside and my wife and son laughing inside. It will be a brand new day. And I will not be tired. Day 285 of my 365 photo a day project. Embrace

In light of recent events, I wanted to create something, anything, that could express what I am feeling. This is a feeble attempt at that because the feelings and emotions are so strong and varied. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal… Continue reading Embrace

Leading the Way

Leading the Way

“If you would have your son to walk honourably through the world, you must not attempt to clear the stones from his path, but teach him to walk firmly over them – not insist upon leading him by the hand, but let him learn to go alone.” –Anne Bronte

Merry Go Round

Merry Go Round

“If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall. I would go to more dances. I would ride the merry-go-rounds. I would pick more daisies.” –Nadine Stair

Limitless

Limitless

For the artist, the world is limitless. It can be found in the home, on the street outside, in the city surrounding us, in the countryside, and over the far horizon.

Minimalist Pillars

Minimalist Pillars

Looking at my son’s wooden toy blocks and specifically the wooden columns,  got me to thinking about the pillars of design for photography.
