I wanted to capture something “summer-y” and minimalist to commemorate the impending end of summer and the slow downhill slide to the dead of winter.
This shot of a small spiral piece of paper was inspired, in part, by an incident in our home this morning. I’ll get to that in a moment.

I call this image Abstract Tones. Can you guess what it is? I’ll admit to using Topaz Glow and Topaz Impression in the creation of this image, but both of those plugins were used at the end of the process in the final touches. The spiral/ concentric circles you see here is straight of the camera.
