“Love is a naked shadow, on a gnarled and naked tree” –Langston Hughes
Being a daddy, a husband, a photographer, and a freelance 3D/2D animator keeps me quite busy these days. It also keeps my mind racing at 100mph with my thoughts tangled and twisted.
“The art of simplicity is a puzzle of complexity.” — Douglas Horton It is still amazing (at least to me) how a simple object, removed from it’s normal surroundings, can have so much impact. This is just a pair of shiny chromed nails twisted and intertwined on a bright white background. Not very complicated.
“Adversity is the first path to truth.” — Lord Byron The easiest way to get from here to there is a straight line. That is easier said than done.
“Everything is nothing with a twist.” –Kurt Vonnegut Nothing. I walked for a couple of hours, camera in hand, and shot nothing worth processing – much less sharing with the world. Blah.
To me, the tops of pumpkins have always looked like the stumps of large twisted and gnarled trees, long ago removed by the village axman.
