Lamp Lite Motel

Lamp-Lite Motel

This is the Lamp-Lite Motel (or at least the sign) along US 51 in Portage, Wisconsin.   Now, I have to say up front, I’ve done just a wee bit of work on this one (see below).  Taken in June of last year and finally processed today, I was driving toward Baraboo looking for a particular waterfall to photograph.   At 60mph, I was almost even with the sign before I even saw it.

The Wave

The Wave

“You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment.”

64 Colors

Peach.  Lavender.  Thistle.  Orange-Yellow.  Or was it Yellow-Orange?  Some very obvious names and some that made you scratch your head. I think it would have been great fun to be paid to name the colors of each crayon.  Which was/is your favorite color?

With Open Eyes

–T. E. Lawrence

Flowing Water: The River

“He who postpones the hour of living is like the rustic who waits for the river to run out before he crosses.”
